Sportsball Vacations 2025 edition!

Vacations do not have to be just about exotic locales and sandy beaches. Vacations can be centered around great sports experiences too! Planning ahead for these events can save you money and a lot of hassle trying to get plane tickets and accommodations once ticket sales are announced. Even if your whole family isn't into the sport as much as you are, the locations where the events are being held are a wealth of experiences outside the arenas. Here are but a few 2025 events that I can help you plan for today!

SOCCER/FOOTBALL

The FIFA Club World Cup is coming to the USA in 2025! The tournament will be held June 15 through July 13. The host cities are to be announced, but I will update things on Facebook and Instagram when the locations are known.

FYI, teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and my beloved Chelsea are already locked into playing!

HORSE RACING (ok, there's no ball involved, but you get the point)

The Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes really earn their name as the Triple Crown. Derby Weekend in Louisville, Kentucky is May 2-3. I can already offer you savings packages for this weekend starting NOW! The Preakness is slated for May 17th in Baltimore, Maryland. Again, I can get you savings TODAY for this race in 2025. Finally, the Belmont Stakes is NOT being run in Belmont Park in 2025 due to renovations going on at the venue. Instead, the same as this year, it will be run at Saratoga in Saratoga Springs, New York on June 7th. This is a unique opportunity for even the most die-hard attendees of this race to get a new experience due to the great location of Saratoga Springs! GOLF

There are so many great golf events in 2025. Vacation packages can be built around the actual golf play depending on when you have tickets.

Masters - April 7-13, Augusta, Georgia

In order to get tickets for this event you must register on https://www.masters.com/en_US/tickets before June 1, 2024 so you can apply for 2025 tickets starting on June 1st. A travel advisor like me cannot register for you due to the rules from the PGA.

US Open - June 12-15, Oakmont, Pennsylvania

This is in Yinzer territory! There is so much to do and see in the general area from the area famous Oakmont Bakery to Kennywood amusement park. There is a wine/beer tour offered exclusively by Yinzer Getaways that would pick you up at your hotel and chauffeur you around some of the great wineries and breweries in the nearby Westmoreland and Fayette county areas.

Ryder Cup - September 25-28, Farmingdale, New York, Bethpage (Black)

The Ryder Cup is returning to the US. Since this is a biennial event, it will not be back in the United States until 2029.

Women's Open - May 29-June1, Erin, Wisconsin, Erin Hills GC

The women of golf are going to be teeing off in Wisconsin which is a beautiful area at this time of year. There are breathtaking landscapes in the multiple county and state parks. This is not far from the capital of Madison or the Lake Michigan shore. The average temperature is 75-80 degrees, so it will be great to watch some golf!

FOOTBALL

The 2025 Super Bowl will be held at Ceasars Superdome in Louisiana on February 9th. If you're going to have a great football experience and don't care who is playing, planning early will beat the rush later in the season. There's so much to do there that you will come home with a ton of great memories!

ICE HOCKEY

There will be no All-Star week in 2025. Instead there will be the 4 Nations Face-Off. Teams from Canada, US, Finland, and Sweden will be playing a tournament style of play from February 12th to the 20th. This will be held in two North American cities, one in the US and one in Canada. RUGBY

The biggest event in 2025 for rugby is the Women's World Cup being held in England. The tournament opens August 22nd at Sunderland with the final match being hosted at Twickenham, England's home for rugby. Since this is in and around London, a vacation package can definitely be arranged now with great savings!

TENNIS

Tennis is a huge sport for a lot of people. Did you know that the US Open has a Fan Week that is FREE and open to the public the week before the tournament begins?

In 2025, the US Open tournament is August 25th through September 6th in Flushing, Queens, NYC. The week before, August 18th through the 24th is Fan Week! A whole vacation can be planned around this FREE week where you can watch the biggest names in tennis practice while enjoying the food, activities, and interactions in a much more relaxed environment. Talk about a discount!
